The First Finished Portraits

The First Finished Portraits

Hi friend

It's almost the most wonderful time of the year (is it really, though?). That means: new works on my website, & shop closing soon i.e. December 15th.

FIRST FACES
As the attentive viewer might have noticed, I have been working on some new work in the form of portraits. I call them 'Faces of The Common', because The Common in England is where I started experimenting with painting colourful people.

I finished three of them: Margot, Fred, Carmen & Lena.
Photographer did a fantastic job as always, printing company delivered:
the new prints came in yesterday, and they look amazing.

No need for another round of test prints,
so they are now totally up for grabs in my shop.

SAD NEWS: BIG PRINTS DELAYED
There is also sad news. Classic life. Can't have the good without the bad, amiright?

You might remember I was planning on getting bigger prints, but unfortunately the test prints have not passed the quality check (by me) yet. The printing company uses different paper for bigger sizes, and this affects the colour and sharpness of the prints. Not good. Not cool.

I'll keep on trying until I find the best way to make this work.
If you know of a trustworthy company though, please do let me know!

More exciting stuff coming soon - maybe more for myself than for you as a reader, but still.

I´m talking bigger paintings (finally) & a new studio (yaaaay).
Speak to you soon!
